Siyi Yang
About MeI am an incoming Postdoctoral Associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Duke University. I will be working with Prof. Robert Calderbank. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at UCLA. I was working at Laboratory for Robust Information Systems (LORIS), under the supervision of Prof. Lara Dolecek. I was also affiliated with the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering (CQSE) at UCLA. I received my M.S. degree also from UCLA, in 2018. Prior to that, I obtained my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2016. More details about me can be found in my CV. Research InterestsMy research experiences are heavily focusing on designing error correction codes (ECC) for modern data/computing-intensive systems and quantum systems. The major objective of my work is maximizing the potential of coding techniques in addressing practical issues, such as reliability and latency, in applications associated with storage, computing, and communications.
